Girl About Dragon Tattoo's

Last night I attended the launch party for H&M's Dragon Tattoo collaboration line by Trish Summerville. It was such a fantastic event! The line is very edgy with lots of leather pieces, perfect for mixing with the countless feminine pieces I own. I just love an edgy, feminine look! All of the pieces were on display using mannequins, racks and live models. (I felt too awkward to take photos of the live models, maybe later on in my career) Here's some snaps of what I wore to the event:

Here's a snap of what my BFF wore to the event with me.We call this shot "Marc Jacobs Fall/Winter '12" Notice her oversized black clutch. (sometimes we're too funny for our own good)

I tried my best to take decent photos, but the camera I'm working with at the moment isn't the highest quality (remember how my old sweetheart got swallowed by the sea? *tear*) SO on that note, I hope you enjoy the following photos, and can kind of get a sense of what the line is all about!

The Dragon Tattoo line hits stores TODAY! Hope you enjoyed taking a peek, I'm off to buy some leather pants.

Fuzzy Wuzzy was a Hat

Before I start- Please tell me that you get my title reference. Just to clarify..."fuzzy wuzzy was a bear, fuzzy wuzzy had no hair, fuzzy wuzzy wasn't fuzzy...was he?" Children's rhymes are the best, aren't they? Anyway- This is my black fuzzy hat! Very Russian inspired.

Today my sister and I went Christmas shopping. Because of our lack of a vehicle, we had to use public transit to get around (how fun!) (that was sarcasm). I wanted to be warm, because you never know HOW long you'll end up waiting for a bus, and I also wanted to be comfy. Flat boots and a warm hat were the answer!

My sis and I had a mini photo shoot while waiting for the bus. Still no snow! I hate to sound cliche, but I really am dreaming of a white Christmas.

For those of you who have started Christmas shopping, I hope it's going well!

Feathered Friends

I'm actually terrified of birds, so I would never usually refer to them as "friends"..however the title just went so nicely with the fact that I'm wearing my H&M Feather necklace! If you saw my red carpet segments at the MMVAs, this is the same necklace I was wearing that night! I love it, and how it can put a little funky into any outfit I wear!

I wore this outift today for a meeting I had in Toronto. I wore leggings, but made it look professional by pairing them with this dressier top and a blazer.

Today was another rainy day in Toronto, I think it's about time I invest in an umbrella. A damp scarf over your head just doesn't have the same effect!

Happy Monday to you all! I'm off to make lemon squares.

p.s. Apparently, my whole outfit today was H&M! Love love.

Twinkle Twinkle Little Sweater

This is what I wore today while I helped out at a children's Christmas party at work. I even got to meet the man himself...Santa! I wanted to be comfy, but also be a little bit festive for the event. Cue: my sparkle sweater!

I purchased this sweater at the most adorable thrift boutique in my hometown of Fredericton, NB called Lovely Bettys. It truly is the loveliest little store full of so many treaures! I can't wait to go there and explore while I'm home for the Holidays.

I love the sequins throughout the sweater, and the little puffed sleeves!

Work was busy busy busy today, and the weather was rainy rainy rainy, so I took the photos in the best spot I could find...infront of my sisters door! (p.s. sorry)

I hope you all enjoyed your weekend! Mine was full of kids and gingerbread. Very delightful indeed!

Girl About a New Town

I thought about naming this post "Girl About TIME" because I've been seriously neglecting my beloved blog...and it's about time I did a post! However, I decided to take this opportunity to let you all know that I am officially living in a new town! Well...city really, in the ever buzzing metropolis of Toronto! I know there's no excuses for a full month of stale air...but moving is tough! I've been transitioning to this new city life, getting settled in, and am now officially prepared to resume regular posts!

I am currently nesting at my sister's apartment in Oakville (just outside of Toronto) until I can make it on my own two feet. Since being in Oakville, I've been helping out at a local art studio for children called Lollipop Art Lounge & Party Shoppe, it's the sweetest place ever!

These photos were taken while on my break today, how beautiful is it to see that sun?

The dress I am wearing (as a skirt) is one of my favorite purchases of the summer. I picked it up at my favorite thrift store in Victoria (which I miss dearly!!) called Flavour. It's one of those year round pieces that works in any season!

I hope you are all transitioning into December nicely. My Christmas spirit is in full force!
