Grand Supreme

Happy Halloween everyone!! My costume choice this year: a Toddler in Tiara, inspired by one of my fave TV shows "Toddlers in Tiaras" on TLC. Some may think it's contoversial, but I think it's hilarious and adorable...kind of like my costume?

Whether you're being something spooky, cute, scary, funny or anything in between...I hope you all have a very Happy (and stylish) Halloween!!

Costume: everything thrifted, except for my self made pipe cleaner crown! (and the soother)

Red Leather, If You Please

I bought these amazing red leather (ok...fake leather) shorts from H&M a few weeks ago, and I'm in love! I can't wait to change up their look all Fall/Winter long! I really wanted the black version of these too, but unfortunately they were all sold out *sad face with a dripping tear* Cue: mission black leather shorts.

I wore this outfit out and about with a friend, picking up some last minute Halloween costume pieces. SO excited to put my whole costume together and show you guys what I'm being. It's humourous.

The weather in Victoria has been getting chilly, but this particular day was perfect non-coat weather! Hope you are all getting as excited for Halloween as I am! Tonight I'm carving pumpkins and helping a friend decorate for her Halloween party. WOO HOO!

Beautiful Day in the Neighbourhood

The other day Hunter and I did a little bit of exploring in our own neighborhood. Sometimes it can be fun to be a tourist in your own part of town! we stumbled across the cutest looking Mexican restautant, and ended up going for dinner there! (Delicious, by the way)

I bought this sweet H&M blazer in the summer, and had yet to wear it. I was worried that I wouldn't get a chance to wear it because it is such a bright color...but who says you can't be colourful in the Fall? Especially on a day as beautiful as this.

My necklace was a surprise gift from a sweet friend, and was actually made by another one of my friends who takes vintage jewellery pieces and re-vamps them! How sweet is that?

I hope you are all enjoying your week! Anyone have any Halloween parties planned for this weekend?

Girl About Johnson Street

Yesterday my dear friend Courtney and I had a friend date. We bought tea, shopped boutiques (new and vintage) and had lunch...all while staying on the same street! Johnson Street in Victoria is a wonderful street full of shops and cafes, enough to keep you occupied for a full day! (maybe even longer)

It was a beautiful Fall day yesterday, and the perfect day for me to wear my new boots! I recently purchased these boots at Urban Outfitters in Vancouver...how great are they!? I love that they are a wedge, and think they are the perfect colors for Fall.

I hope you are all enjoying your week...Halloween is just around the corner, I can't wait to reveal my costume!

Falling Back into Place

After an almost 2 month hiatus...I'M BACK! The reason for my dissapearing act? It's a sad tale, actually, my beloved camera (may she rest in peace) was swallowed by the sea. We had so many great times together-  Europe, camping trips, moving across Canada - but the sea is unforgiving... I'm lucky I made it out! On a happier note, my loving sister generously offered to lend me her camera until I could afford to buy a new one... so here I am!

This post isn't so much an outfit post as it is a "welcome back-thanks for not giving up on me-I love you all- it is now Autumn" post.

The other day, a few friends and I went to a pumpkin patch here in Victoria! This was my first time ever going to a pumpkin patch, and will definitely not be my last! I felt so Automn-y/ Harvest-y/Halloween-y, new seasons are always so refreshing! Don't you agree?

Fall colors on the West Coast aren't as vibrant as they are on the East Coast...but it's still absolutely beautiful!

I found two perfect pumpkins for Hunter and I to carve... maybe they will make an appearance in my Halloween post!

Thank you to all my girls and boys about towns for sticking by me during my camera-less period...I'm so excited to be back!!
